How does the NH310 differ from the NH300?
The NH310 adds a 4 mm aperture alongside the 8 mm aperture, camera-assisted positioning and D50 and A illuminants in addition to D65. It also offers additional color spaces and evaluation functions. Its specified white-plate repeatability is within 0.06 ΔE*ab standard deviation, compared with 0.07 ΔE*ab for the NH300.
Which aperture should I use?
Choose the aperture that fits within a representative area of the sample. The 4 mm opening is useful when the available measurement area is too small for the 8 mm opening.
Do I need to recalibrate after changing apertures?
Yes. After installing the required aperture, select the corresponding aperture setting in the instrument menu and perform white and black calibration.
What is the purpose of camera locating?
Camera locating helps identify the target area before measurement, which is particularly useful when measuring a small section of a sample.
Can it measure concave surfaces?
An optional extended 8 mm aperture is available for suitable concave surfaces. Confirm that the attachment can access the sample and make proper measurement contact.
Can I save standards for future comparisons?
Yes. The NH310 stores up to 100 standards and 20,000 samples.
What does the PC software add?
CQCS3 supports color difference analysis, cumulative analysis, chromaticity index evaluation, sample database management and color simulation.
How many measurements can I take on one charge?
The manufacturer specifies more than 3,000 measurements per charge. Actual battery performance depends on operating conditions.
